Mother’s Day in the UAE is just around the corner on 21st March 2022 & we thought you could use some help making her day an extra special one!
Now, moms swear that some of the best gifts they ever received were handmade cards from their little ones, so we put together these easy DIY card ideas that you can make along with your kids! Handmade is the way to go if you want those extra brownie points.

1. Love Bug Card
Materials required:
- Stamp pad
- Card Paper - Regular A4 printing paper or use this Drawing Paper
- Mom Store Free Printable
- Sharpie Markers
- Stickers (optional)
- Baby Wipes
- A pair of scissors
Instructions:
- Print the printable sheet & trim the edges.
- Take an A4 sheet of paper & fold it in half. Colored paper would be preferred.
- Stick the printed jar on the centre of the card.
- Have your child place their thumb on the ink pad, then in the center of the mason jar design. Follow with two more thumbprints for ‘wings’ on both sides. You can encourage them to use their favorite colors!
- Next take a felt marker & draw in eyes & antennae. You can this bit yourself or hold their hands to draw it in.
- Embellish it with some stickers for an etxra pop! These floral ones would be perfect.
- Use the baby wipes to clean the color off their thumbs & voila, you're done!


2. Love You to Pieces Card
Materials required:
- Card Paper - Regular A4 printing paper or use this Drawing Paper
- Hand draw the heart or use this Mom Store Free Printable
- Sharpie Markers (optional)
- Colored paper or post-its
- Glue
Instructions:
- For the first step you can either hand draw the heart on a blank A4 paper or print the stencil out using this printable.
- Once you have your printed A4 sheet, fold it at the center so it opens like a card.
- Simply grab some different colored papers and set your kiddos loose tearing them into small pieces. Alternatively, you could use a scissor & cut them into small rectangles.
- Using the glue, paste them into the heart. The messier the better!
- Write a cute message for mommy on the inside & ta-da!
This activity is perfect for fine motor development for kids, it's super easy & mom is sure to swoon over it. Win-win for everyone!


3. You are my Sunshine Card ☀️
Materials required:
- Card Paper - Regular A4 printing paper or use this Drawing Paper (Any thicker cardstock paper will work better for this card)
- Black & Yellow Sharpie Markers OR use this Mom Store Free Printable
- Fusilli pasta
- Glue
Instructions:
- Draw a yellow circle on the white folded paper and color inside.
- Put lines of glue around the outside and press the pasta against the glue and hold for a few seconds. Wait a few minutes for it to dry completely.
- Add a smiley face with a black sharpie and write "Mom, You are my sunshine!" at the top!
Tip: Use this colored printable , if you’re running out of time & can’t find markers.
